Abstract

The purpose of this article is to explain how the skills of a teacher in opening and closing a lesson. The conclusion of this research is that the skill of a teacher in opening and closing learning is very important to carry out a learning activity. There are several important ways that a teacher must do in opening and closing learning, namely by 1) The method used by the teacher in opening learning, namely: greeting, asking for news, making conclusions from the material that has been explained by a teacher, motivating, making references. , making connections, 2) the method used in closing the lesson, namely: the teacher evaluates by providing opportunities for students to ask questions, asking students to make conclusions from the material that has been explained, and providing exercises to students. The aim is to determine the success of students when following the learning process. The purpose of opening and closing this learning is to make it easier for a teacher to carry out learning activities, so that students easily understand the material presented and to determine the level of success in carrying out learning activities, both students and teachers.
