Abstract

In teaching students, teachers have the ability to organize and handle students in learning, so that at the time of learning students can follow the lesson well. In this case the teacher really needs the ability to teach basic skills. The purpose of this study is to find out about the nature of basic teaching skills. Basic teaching skills have several aspects of skills including: 1) opening and closing lessons, 2) explaining skills, 3) questioning skills, 4) guiding small group discussion skills, 5) classroom management skills, 6) reinforcement skills, 7) skills of holding variations, 8) small group and individual teaching skills. In this study also about the basic skills of teaching students through Lesson Study. Lesson study activities can encourage the formation of a consistent and systematic learning communication for self-improvement, both at the individual and managerial levels. The method used in this research is literature study or library study.
